1938 Lithuania Scout Stamp Errors
Sheldon S. Levy

The position on the sheet of 100 of the "broken circle" variety of Lithuania B50 has now been uncovered.  It appears constant as No. 89 on every sheet.  Since 50,000 copies of such stamps were overprinted for the Scout Jamboree, only 500 copies of this error can possibly exist.

Another significant error exists on the same Lithuania stamp. On every sheet, on the stamp appearing in position No. 61, a clearly defined, but unauthorized, comma is plainly visible between the numerals "l" and "9" of the date.  The error, therefore, appears as "1,938" instead of "1938."  Only a maximum of 500 of these errors can also exist.
