With the United States' first cancel several years away, philatelists resorted to producing cachets to commemorate Scouting.  Shown here are the US's first Boy Scout cachet (Levy #1) and first Girl Scout cachet.  Both exhibit the domestic airmail rate of 5 cents.  Note RMS (Rural Mail Service) cancel on the St. Louis cover.
