The US's first Scout slogan meter began service on
February 8, 1935 celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) and
advertising the upcoming First National Jamboree scheduled for August. The meter was used
at the BSA Headquarters in New York, NY. Also commemorating the anniversary was the
United States' first cancel; the "B.S.A. 1910 - 1935" US Receiving Ship cancel of
Brooklyn, NY. Four additional Scout ship cancels are known.
