This unsealed envelope carried a printed message,
however, it was not marked Nyomtatvány (printed matter) and a 40 fillér general
foreign letter should have applied. None the less, Hungarian and United States postal
officials allowed Green Bar Bill cacheted envelops to be delivered with as little as 10
fillér. This particular sender also requested US Airmail service. New
York postal officials would not honor the 8¢ postal envelope franking for Airmail service
in the USA.
