These sites are "Stamp Collecting's Classic Sites" and cover their topics like no others. Each
site is a blend of quality content, demonstrating outstanding knowledge of the topic, and quality design
based on the site's usability, dependability and creativity.
The Glassine Surfer
As a continuation of its program to encourage and promote all forms of philatelic literature,
Fédération Internationale de Philatélie (the International
Philatelic Federation or FIP) is providing for an annual evaluation of philatelic Web sites. The
showcase for the 2001 results was announced in Copenhagen, Denmark at HAFNIA '01, 16-21
October. The evaluation was completed by a panel of seven accredited literature jurors from six
countries, who made the
SOSSI web site
Hors Concours.
PHILTEMA 2001
PHILTEMA was the 10th annual international exhibition of Scout thematic philately held in
Cinisello Balsamo, Italy from February 22-25, 2001. The judges awarded the
SOSSI
web site a
Gold Award for Scout Philatelic Literature.

FIP Best Philatelic Web Site
As a continuation of its program to encourage and promote all forms of philatelic literature,
Fédération Internationale de Philatélie (the International
Philatelic Federation or FIP) is providing for an annual evaluation of philatelic Web sites.
The showcase for the 2000 results was ESPAÑA 2000, held in Madrid, 6-14 October. The
evaluation was completed by a panel of seven accredited literature jurors from six countries, who
awarded the
SOSSI web site the
Best Philatelic Web Site Award.
The MIDAPHIL 2000 Committee extends our appreciation and congratulations to the philatelic websites that entered our 2000
competition. This was in conjunction with the
MIDAPHIL National Stamp Show
held on October 13-15, 2000 in Lenexa, Kansas. The judges awarded the
SOSSI web site a
Gold Award with "Special Prize" indicating a highly-recommended site.
STAMPSHOW 2000 was sponsored by the
American Philatelic Society. It was held from August 24-27,
2000 in the Rhode Island Convention Center, Providence,
Rhode Island. The Literature Exhibition judges panel awarded the
SOSSI web site a
Vermeil Award in Philatelic Literature, Handbook category.
COLOPEX 2000 is a
World Series of Philately show
sponsored by the Columbus Philatelic Club, Inc., Columbus, Ohio. Held from March 31-April 2, 2000,
the Literature Exhibition judges panel awarded the
SOSSI web site a
Silver-Bronze Award in Philatelic Literature.
We are pleased to announce the honors awarded to the website entries in the 1999 competition produced
in conjunction with the
MIDAPHIL National Stamp Show held on October 22-24, 1999 in Lenexa, Kansas.
With Special Prize
The
Fédération Internationale de Philatélie conducted the first
of a once-per-year evaluation process of those philatelic Web sites whose webmasters or sponsoring
organizations wished to participate.
