Abbot René Bonpain (1903-1943), French Scout Leader in Rosendaël who was also a resistance leader during World War II with the "Alliance" and "Zero France"groups.  He was captured and executed in 1943.

France issued a stamp honoring Bonpain in series of "Heroes of the Resistance."
