National Jamboree 2001. Issue Date: 3 July 2001. 2 se-tenant stamps. Designer:
Ahmad Kurniawan, PERURI Printers: Perum PERURI. A huge camping of the second level of
Pramuka (Boy Scout) or the National Jamboree 2001 will be held in the foothill of Mount Slamet,
precisely at the Bumi Perkemahan Wana Wisata Baturraden (Camping Area), Banyumas regency,
Central Java. The major theme of the 2001 Jamboree is "Hidup damai Selaras Alam" ang it
also has determined to live on 'modesty, creativity, friendly and independence'. The
National Jamboree will be joined by the second level girl and boy Scouts from Indonesia,
the Indonesian contingent from abroad as the representative of the Republic of Indonesia,
the National Scout/ Girl Scout/ Girl Guides delegation from around Pacific-Asia countries
and others. The aims of the National Jamboree are to build, develop and teach the boy/girl
Scouts about independence, devotion, to God, leadership, brotherhood, and care of the social
and environmental situation.
